There is just a taster of some of his work, but he is really well worth a look, I think it's great and was gutsy that he was one of the artists that brought Fine Art and Popular Culture together aka Elvis and Picasso. Good job Mr Hamilton.... :-)

Oh Oh!!!!

Did I mention that I have to stand up in front of class again and give a presentation on my researched artist (Richard Hamilton)...........Oh Lordy!!! Here we go again!!!! Breathe!!!

Ah sure it will be only greeeaassshhhh!!!!!

Richard Hamilton (Artist Research)

So I got Richard Hamilton as my Artist to research, I had heard of the name before but it wasn't ringing alarm bells..... Anyway when I was researching him, some of his works looked familiar

like this collage above "Just what is it that makes today's homes so different, so appealing?" 1956, it is said to be one of the first early works of Pop Culture.

Here is a link that just skims on the biography of Hamilton.

Here are a couple of links about Mind Maps which I came across when I was researching they are quite interesting. Tony Buzan also has lots of books on Mind Mapping if you are interested in reading up about it. One of the links is controversial if Tony Buzan invented the mind map, it goes all the way back according to this site to Leonardo Da Vinci, sure why does't that surprise us. He is a legend after all. :-)

So my first exercise was on Mind Mapping. I had to Mind Map why I wanted to study Art & Design, and get up in front of the class and explain my Mind Map. To put it mildly I was pooping myself at the thought of getting up in front of the class, public speaking wouldn't be one of my strong points to say the least. Verbal constipation ALERT!!!! Anywhhooooo!!!! I got through it with my stomach doing somersaults. It was the best feeling having it over with. I'll pop up a photo of it now, there is a few reasons why I want to study Art & Design and I will go through them on the Mind Map. :-)

First of all please excuse the vommit of colour on the page, I got a tad bit excited, it was the first exercise we had to do so I was like.....Where are my COLOURS???

A lot of what you see in the Mind Map is quite self-explanatory. If  you have any questions, feel free to ask them, I won't bite I promise.

Howdy Doody!!!
